How To: Schedule Pin’s For Pinterest

A question I get asked a lot is how do you schedule pins for Pinterest. It is pretty simple actually. Check it out.

For all my scheduling related to Pinterest & Instagram, I use Tailwind. Their scheduling is simple and easy to use whether you are uploading the photo or using one from a website through the Chrome Extension.

Once you choose your method, the pin will show below you and under the picture, you will see the following.

Choose the board you would like to pin to and then enter a detailed description (use keywords). This is also where you will add your pins to your Tribes if you are members of any. Lastly, you will enter in the custom domain that the pin will direct traffic to if clicked on.

Next, you will either choose the time you want your pin to post (clock on the right-hand side) or add it to your queue of predetermined time slots through Tailwinds analytics.

Once they are scheduled you will see them in the schedule grid to the right of your screen.

Tips For Great Pins

1. Use a vertical (portrait orientation) photo with a 2:3 aspect ratio.
2. Write a description to give your image context using relevant keywords.
3. Adding a URL helps direct people to your site, remember Pinterest is more of a search engine than a social network.
