The Power Of Social Media Strikes Again

Every morning with my cup of tea ( I sound British, I wish ) I read up on the latest news & I check my social media feeds, bad habit I need to break! Anyways, as I was scrolling through my Twitter feed I came across a few tweets that are perfect examples of the power of social media.

Taylor Swift started out as a country music star & is now a musical legend with a following near 90 million on Instagram alone. She got personal on her latest post, urging her fans to go out and register to vote. Over 65,000 people went out and registered to vote after seeing her message, 65,000, IN ONE DAY!

We saw a few political figures respond to Taylor Swift’s message.

Taylor Swift And Politics

One post got 65,000 adults to register to vote. Never underestimate the power of influence. Yes, a lot of Taylor Swift fans are under the age of 18 but her fans are loyal which means if she says this now when some of them turn 18 they will register because it is important to her. She is educating the ones who are harder to reach on the importance of politics that no politician could ever reach.

Music is powerful.
