It’s been 24 hours and the only thing people are talking about is Nike. #nikewin
The boldest of moves are the smartest marketing moves sometimes.
If you are one of the few who don’t know what’s going on, then let me fill you in.
Nike’s newest face is Colin Kaepernick, you may know that name from football because he was the one who started the kneeling movement for racial injustice.
He’s standing for non-violence, he took a stand for what he believes in.
That right there is WHY Nike brought him on. He never backed down this whole year and a half of the matter. He is the poster child for not backing down and believing for what you believe in. For the past year and a half when you talk football you talked about Colin Kaepernick. Now when you talk about Colin Kaepernick you have Nike.
If you are out there burning Nike clothing then you are just an idiot. Now don’t get me wrong I don’t fully support some of the things he represents, remember this is a marketing blog not a political blog.
Labor Day marked the 30th anniversary of the “Just Do It” launch and I can’t think of a better way to fit the words just do it to someone that shook the football stadiums around the country.
Remember, marketing not politics, do you agree or disagree with Nike’s choice?
