The Reality Of Building A Brand

The perception of building a brand is greatly simpler than it truly is. When you start a company, you give it a brand, just like you name your child at birth. The hardest thing you will ever do is pick a brand name for your company. Here is what you should be thinking of when creating a brand name:

  • Does the name match the meaning of the company
  • Is it appropriate
  • Is it simple, don’t make it too complex otherwise it will damage the name
  • Make it fun, everyone can relate to fun
  • Get ready to LIVE your brand

What I mean by “live your brand” is that you represent the brand, by living the brand it will show others and be intrigued to do so as well. Think of Nike for example, when you see that swoosh you know that it is sports related and great quality.

When someone thinks of your brand, what do you want them to think of?

Once you have that question answered, however, the rest will come with ease.
