I feel as if I shouldn’t have to make a blog post about this but apparently I do.

Take the time & build an online portfolio into your website.

Yes, I own a digital marketing agency but in a world as technologically savvy as we are, there a hundreds of new platforms making waves.

What I mean by that is that you should have a “home base” that isn’t social media. There will be a time and day where FB disappears & should that happen, where would you direct your clients to? You can battle me & say, “Katie, I will move to another social media platform”. You by all means can do that, but then you have to spend all this time rebuilding your following on a new platform that you might not have mastered yet. That is just a waste of time.

Take your hard work & invest in it. Build a beautiful website to reflect your passion & draw them in to be clients. Let your talent do the speaking for you. Always invest in yourself.

Facebook should be being used to drive traffic & raise brand awareness. At the end of the day, when social media starts to become a distant memory, you should still be able to continue to grow your business.

Kathleen hails originally from Arlington, MA, but currently resides in the Steel City, Pittsburgh, PA. After watching her late father succumb to lung cancer in April of 2014, she realized, thanks to conversations with him, her purpose was much greater than what she was living to that point. Kathleen realized she needed to refocus her life and focus it on traveling and helping others by any means necessary. Kathleen did just that. After helping her family at home following her father's death, she packed her bags and found Pittsburgh to be her new home.
