I feel as if I shouldn’t have to make a blog post about this but apparently I do.

FACEBOOK IS NOT A PORTFOLIO.

Take the time & build an online portfolio into your website.

Yes, I own a digital marketing agency but in a world as technologically savvy as we are, there a hundreds of new platforms making waves.

DO NOT PUT ALL YOUR EGGS IN ONE BASKET.

What I mean by that is that you should have a “home base” that isn’t social media. There will be a time and day where FB disappears & should that happen, where would you direct your clients to? You can battle me & say, “Katie, I will move to another social media platform”. You by all means can do that, but then you have to spend all this time rebuilding your following on a new platform that you might not have mastered yet. That is just a waste of time.

Take your hard work & invest in it. Build a beautiful website to reflect your passion & draw them in to be clients. Let your talent do the speaking for you. Always invest in yourself.

Facebook should be being used to drive traffic & raise brand awareness. At the end of the day, when social media starts to become a distant memory, you should still be able to continue to grow your business.
